Serafino Rivella Barbaresco Montestefano 2021

Serafino Rivella operates from the prestigious Montestefano cru, Barbaresco's south-facing vineyard where calcium deposits accumulate more than in any other site in the region. These vines were planted in 1963 and farmed organically from the start; the 2021 saw an extended 45-day maceration on the skins, then approximately 30 months in cask. Cherry, lavender, and rose petal leap from the glass, framed by soft tannins. Freshness and lift from Montestefano's limestone, serious structure from the clay beneath.
