
Paranubes Coffee Liqueur
Paranubes Coffee Liqueur is a modern interpretation of cafe de olla, the Mexican culinary staple enjoyed on comfortable mornings around the family kitchen table.
Café de olla is usually a simple recipe of coffee brewed in boiling water in a clay or enamelware pot placed directly on the stove, then sweetened with raw sugar and spiced with cinnamon. For our own unique twist, we use light-roasted coffee grown by Jose Luís on his ranch in the Sierra Mazateca of Northern Oaxaca, and cold brew it into a rich coffee base. Locally-grown botanicals are macerated for 30 days in un-aged Paranubes aguardiente de caña. These macerations are then blended together with the fresh cold brew and sweetened with homemade panela, raw cane sugar.
