Matassa VDF Blanc Rufo 2023

Tom Lubbe's natural winemaking adventure continues with this ethereal white from ancient Macabeu vines rooted in slate near Calce. Just 10% alcohol but packed with Mediterranean soul—aniseed, camomile, jasmine, wild herbs, citrus, and honey emerge in layers. Whole-bunch pressing to 500L barrels and concrete tanks with zero added sulfur means this wine captures pure terroir expression. Bottled in late April with no fining or filtration, Rufo tastes like liquid sunshine filtered through wild scrubland.
