The Les Perrières is another example of why Jérôme is such a pioneer, crafting Muscadet at an entirely different level. On the nose, you get this beautiful, bright burst of citrus and white fruits like crisp apple. The palate is bold and direct, but then the wine opens up into this sophisticated balance between a rich, silky texture and a deep, stony minerality. Such gorgeous expression of those intense granite soils he works with. It is incredibly savory and packed with personality, making it the ultimate partner for a big platter of shellfish or oysters. Both were very good vintages with the 2022 being slightly leaner than the more densely frutied ‘23.
