Pure 100% Sangiovese from the southern edge of Chianti Classico, where clay and limestone soils on the slopes around Castelnuovo Berardenga give the wine its characteristic depth and elegance. Harvested and hand-selected in October, the grapes ferment at controlled temperatures in stainless steel, then age for a year in Slavonian oak before three months in bottle. Black cherry, leather, tobacco, and dried herbs interwoven with warm spice and crushed peppercorn. Medium-bodied with fine tannins, it balances seduction with structure.
