Domaine Paul Pillot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Grandes Ruchottes 2019 [NET]

A concentrated, brilliant vintage from Pillot's hilltop parcel in Les Grandes Ruchottes—just 0.26 hectares where the topsoil is so thin much of the ground cannot be planted. The 2019 season produced small, intense grapes with bright acidity despite ripe conditions. Aromas of orange oil, Anjou pear, and oyster shell. Thin, stony marly limestone forces roots deep, creating wines of tangy concentration and saline persistence. Maximum 10% new oak, 350-liter barrels.
