Two decades of age have revealed this Cru Bourgeois's true character: a gracefully evolved wine with fresh aromatics and fine structure. The 2006 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc shows lovely leather, roasted strawberries, red currants, Earl Grey tea, cedar, and ripe dark plums with a palate balanced between grippy tannins and fresh acidity. Situated near Montrose and Cos d'Estournel, this wine drinks beautifully now and should continue to evolve.
