Juan Antonio Ponce returned to his native Manchuela with a vision to amplify the rare, historic Albillo grape—a white varietal thriving in the high-altitude, chalky soils at 600-800 meters on Spain's inland plateau. The 2023 comes from old vines, cold whole-bunch fermented, then aged ten months in 600L used French oak, adding texture without masking mineral purity. Biodynamically farmed from a region known for heat—this wine is fresh, complex, and deeply expressive of its singular terroir.
