Anthony Branger et Benjamin Cormerais Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sue Lie Les Noelles 2023
Two ambitious young vignerons—Anthony Branger and Benjamin Cormerais—resurrected the historic Clos des Noëlles in 2021, returning to old-fashioned Muscadet making with grip and minerality. Fermented naturally with no malolactic conversion to preserve tension, this 100% Melon de Bourgogne spent nine months on fine lees in granite-dominated soils. White currant and stone fruit character, almost alkaline mineral spine, and plenty of energy that opens up beautifully with air. Loire freshness with architectural structure.
